Before pursuing IT, I spent several years as a Licensed Practical Nurse and Certified Medical Assistant, working in high-pressure clinical environments where precision, documentation, and composure under stress were non-negotiable. That background shaped how I approach technical work today: I believe strong foundations prevent costly errors, and I would rather take the time to build a system correctly than rush a fix that creates more problems later.

In my coursework, I have designed a HIPAA-compliant network floorplan for a medical office, built an auditable enterprise database, and developed a Python-based point-of-sale system with a working GUI.
